Hello! Gosh, it's been a while since I've blogged. Sorry about that! My goal this summer is to blog more often, maybe I'll set a more specific goal like once a week. :)
Onto cool and exciting things! For the past three days I have been at CUE Rock Star in La Jolla. I was holding sessions with my mom.
If you haven't been to a CUE Rock Star event, it's a more hands on experience vs CUE, where you sit and watch. At Rock Star, you are in sessions that are teaching and showing you how to do things. Each session is two hours and there are two each day. So, you have two chances to catch a session you want to go to.
Before I go on, you can check out all the sessions here. Mostly everyone has a session web page with links to resources or their presentations. Also on instagram and twitter, our hashtag was #cuerockstar .

So let me start out with one of my more favourite moments of rock star. Shred sessions. Each morning before the event started, every presenter did a shred to sell you on their session.
These were fun and a great way to start off the morning. Some I think actually sold people on sessions. Ha.
Each presenters did three different sessions (1 session each day). Mine were: making music videos with iMovie, writing and presenting in a STEAM classroom, and Formative assessment tools.
Mine were pretty fun and information. If you click here, you should be able to see a folder with all my session sources in it, if you're interested.
I'm not quite sure how many people noticed, but throughout the three days I was carrying around this guy.

This is Captain. I won him in a claw machine on the way up to CUE, so I thought, why not let him join me.
If you look on Twitter for #cptatcue, he is there as well. :)
CUE Rockstar was fun. It was also super exhausting. I think it'd be fun to go back as an attendee so I can watch all the other awesome sessions. But it was awesome to see people share stuff they learned in my sessions at the open mic!

I hope everyone else had an amazing time too! And if you weren't there, feel free to check out the resources on the website!
